B2B industrial marketing and SEO for manufacturers
An RFQ comes at the end of a long technical check; the site has to pass that check first.
B2B industrial marketing is the work that puts a manufacturer in front of engineers, purchasing teams and distributors while they compare specifications, certificates and delivery capacity. SEO Evaluate builds the product and application pages those buyers check, runs search campaigns measured on qualified requests for quotation (RFQs) instead of clicks, and connects every inquiry to the product line and market it came from. We have done this work for an industrial material-handling equipment manufacturer and a medical and beauty equipment manufacturer.

DEFINITION
What is B2B industrial marketing, and how is it different from consumer marketing?
B2B industrial marketing helps manufacturers and industrial suppliers win business from other companies. The buyer is a team rather than one person, the purchase is checked against technical requirements, and the conversion is usually a request for quotation, not a checkout. The website's job is to answer that team's questions well enough that the request reaches you instead of a competitor.
That changes what gets built and what gets measured. Pages are organised by product line and application, campaigns are judged on qualified RFQs, and reporting follows the inquiry through quote and order. Our guide to long buying cycles with many decision-makers covers the buying side in more detail.
| Topic | Consumer marketing | B2B industrial marketing |
|---|---|---|
| Buyer | One person | Engineering, purchasing, management and sometimes a distributor |
| Decision | Minutes to days | Weeks to months, often against a written specification |
| Conversion | Purchase or sign-up | RFQ, data-sheet download, call or WhatsApp inquiry |
| Content that decides | Price, reviews, images | Specifications, standards, application examples, lead time, after-sales support |
| Measure of success | Sales and conversion rate | Qualified RFQs, quote rate and orders by product line and market |
SCOPE
Which manufacturers do we work with?
We work with the management, sales and marketing teams of manufacturers, importers and industrial suppliers that sell to other businesses, in the home market and in export markets. The sectors we have direct project experience in are industrial material-handling and lifting equipment, and medical and beauty equipment manufacturing.
The same approach applies to neighbouring sectors where buyers check specifications before they ask for a quote: glass and façade systems, construction chemicals and building materials, textile and fabric supply, laboratory and test equipment, medical supply, feed and agricultural inputs, and manufacturers in organised industrial zones.
What we don't do: act as a distributor or sales agent, take commission on orders, or certify products.
PROBLEMS
Common problems on manufacturer websites
- 01
The catalog is a PDF, not pages.
Product data sits in downloadable catalogs, so search engines and buyers can't find a model by its capacity, dimensions or application. Each product line needs its own crawlable page with the specifications buyers actually filter on.
- 02
Traffic is measured, RFQs are not.
Reports show sessions and clicks, while the quote requests that arrive by phone, WhatsApp or email are never tied back to a page, keyword or campaign. Nobody can say which product line or market produces qualified demand.
- 03
One page has to speak to several buyers.
An engineer checks load and safety data, a purchasing manager checks lead time and terms, a distributor checks margins and support. Pages written for only one of them lose the others.
- 04
Export markets get a translated copy of the home market.
Other-language pages repeat the domestic text with the domestic terminology, so they miss the words buyers abroad use for the same product, and the language versions compete with each other in search.
- 05
Search ads bring in consumers and job seekers.
Broad industrial keywords attract retail buyers, students and applicants. Without negative keywords, product-line campaigns and RFQ-based bidding, the budget goes to clicks that will never order.
CLIENT WORK
B2B manufacturers we have worked with
Two manufacturers from our client results, named with their permission. We describe the scope of the work; we don't publish their performance figures.
Matin Yadak Industrial Group (MIC Lift): material-handling and lifting equipment
A manufacturer and importer of pallet jacks, stackers, lifters, hydraulic lift tables and workshop cranes, with sites in Persian and English (miclift.co (opens in a new tab) and matinyadak.ir (opens in a new tab)). In a digital marketing director role we worked on technical SEO, product and category page architecture, structured data, Google Ads-supported B2B lead generation and WhatsApp lead flows.
Ara Sanat Teb Asia: medical and beauty equipment manufacturing
A manufacturer of beauty and medical beds, hair-transplant beds, blood-draw chairs and other medical equipment, with a Persian-language catalog site (arasanat-avakh.com (opens in a new tab)). We worked on website optimization, technical SEO and search visibility.
SEARCH BEHAVIOUR
How industrial buyers search
Industrial searches are specific. Buyers search by product type plus a specification, by model or standard, or by the problem they need to solve, and they often search in more than one language. The table shows the query types we plan pages around; real volumes are checked market by market, because many industrial queries have little tool data and show up only in Search Console after launch.
| Query type | Example | Page that answers it |
|---|---|---|
| Product plus specification | electric pallet jack 2 ton | Product page with filterable specifications |
| Application or problem | lifting equipment for narrow aisles | Application page linking the suitable models |
| Model, part or standard | stacker spare parts, CE marked hydraulic table | Model page, spare-parts page, certificate page |
| Supplier search | pallet jack manufacturer | Company and production-capacity page, export contact page |
| Comparison | manual vs electric pallet jack | Comparison guide linking both product lines |
CHANNELS
Channel mix for manufacturers: what each channel is for
| Channel | Role | Measured on |
|---|---|---|
| Organic search | Product, application and comparison pages that answer specification searches | Qualified RFQs from organic landing pages |
| Google Ads | Capturing high-intent product searches per product line and market | Cost per qualified RFQ, not cost per click |
| LinkedIn and trade content | Reaching engineering and purchasing roles with application examples | Engaged accounts and RFQs from target companies |
| WhatsApp and phone | The contact path many buyers prefer in Türkiye, Iran and the Gulf | Inquiries and first-response time by product line |
| AI search | Being named when buyers ask assistants for suppliers or comparisons | Mentions across a fixed prompt set |

KPIS
Which KPIs matter for a manufacturer?
We report on the stages between first visit and order, split by product line and market, so budget can follow the lines that produce qualified demand. Our article on pipeline metrics instead of traffic explains the reasoning.
| Stage | KPI | Where the data comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Visibility | Impressions and clicks on product and application pages | Search Console, Google Ads |
| Inquiry | RFQs, data-sheet downloads, calls and WhatsApp inquiries | Analytics events, call and WhatsApp tracking |
| Qualification | Share of inquiries that match your product range and order size | CRM, sales team feedback |
| Quote | Quotes sent and quote-to-order rate | CRM |
| Order | Orders and revenue by product line and market | CRM or ERP |
CONSIDERATIONS
Regulatory points to plan for
Product pages make technical claims, so they have to match what the product's documents support: stated capacities, standards and certificates should be the ones in the technical file. For export markets, product compliance marking (for example CE marking in the EU) and the documents behind it are the manufacturer's responsibility; the website should show them accurately, not imply more.
Medical equipment needs extra care. In Türkiye, sales, advertising and promotion of medical devices are regulated by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK), and in the EU medical devices fall under the Medical Device Regulation. Page copy and ads for medical equipment should be checked against those rules before publication.
This section lists planning considerations; it is not legal advice. Your regulatory or legal advisor makes the final call on claims and promotion.
FUNNEL
From first search to order: the B2B funnel we build
Awareness: be found for the specification
Product, application and comparison pages that answer the searches engineers and buyers make, in each target market's language.
Consideration: pass the technical check
Specifications, certificates, application examples, lead times and after-sales information on the page, plus a data sheet buyers can share internally.
Inquiry: make the RFQ easy
A short quote form, WhatsApp and phone on every product page, and tracking on each. Our B2B landing page anatomy shows what such a page needs.
Qualification: separate fit from noise
Agreed criteria for a qualified RFQ, recorded in the CRM with the source of each inquiry; see qualifying B2B leads before the call.
Order and feedback
Quote and order outcomes fed back into reporting, so campaigns and content follow the product lines and markets that turn into orders.
PRINCIPLES
How we work
We base recommendations on data we can show you: your search demand, your inquiry log and your sales stages. Technical and safety statements on product pages are approved by your engineers, and other-language pages go through a native-language production workflow with reviewer approval before publication. We don't promise rankings or order volumes.

B2B industrial marketing: frequently asked questions
Does SEO work for industrial manufacturers with small search volumes?
Yes, because the value is in the quality of each inquiry, not the volume. Industrial queries are specific, so a well-built product page can bring a small number of highly qualified RFQs. We plan around the queries buyers make and validate demand in Search Console after launch.
What should a manufacturer measure instead of traffic?
Qualified RFQs by product line and market, the quote rate and the order rate. That needs inquiry tracking on forms, phone and WhatsApp, and CRM stages that record where each inquiry came from.
Should our catalog be a PDF or web pages?
Both, with the pages as the primary source. Each product line needs a crawlable page with its specifications; the PDF stays available as a download that buyers can share internally.
Can you work on export-market and other-language sites?
Yes. We set market and language priorities from search demand and produce pages in Turkish, English, Arabic and Persian through a native-language production workflow with reviewer approval before publication.
Which B2B sectors have you worked in?
Industrial material-handling and lifting equipment (Matin Yadak Industrial Group, MIC Lift) and medical and beauty equipment manufacturing (Ara Sanat Teb Asia). Both are listed on our Results page with the scope of the work.
